[edit] History

Werrington County was part of the area of the Dharug tribe in pre-european times. In 1806, Werrington County was part of a land grant to Mary King, the youngest daughter of Governor Philip King. Werrington County was then farm land until the early 1980's when house lots were sold for the present day houses in the suburb. The primary school was established in 1982 and then relocated within the suburb in 1988.
