Wentworth wanderers

The Wentworth Wanderers are a local football team playing in the Nuneaton and District Sunday Football League. There are three teams in the setup, all playing at different levels of the pyramid. The first team play in Division One and are managed by John Morrisey, the reserve team are in Division Four and are managed by Alan Burridge and the third team - also known as Wentworth Warriors - are in Division Five and are managed by Kevin Wood.
The first team and the reserve team both play their home matches at Sandon Park in Weddington an area in the north of Nuneaton. The third team play their home matches at Queens Road School, which is located near the Town Centre in Nuneaton. The team was awarded the NDSFL Team of the Year for the 2005/06 season.
The first team reached the final of the N.I.C Challenge Cup, or the Division One Cup however, they were beaten 3-2 by Coton Rose in the final at the Pingles Stadium in Nuneaton. The reserve team ended bottom of Division Three and were relegated into Division Four and the third team ended at the foot of the Division Five table, propping up the entire NDSFL.
The first team play in green shirts with white sleeves, the reserve team wear blue and black striped shirts and the third team play in plain yellow.
