Wendy Harmer

Wendy Harmer (born 1956) is an Australian comedian, notable for her hosting role of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation variety show, The Big Gig. She was also the former host of the high rating breakfast radio show The Morning Crew on 2dayfm in Sydney.
In September 2005 Harmer started as the host of new Sydney and Melbourne radio station Vega FM but by March 2006 she quit her morning show after creative differences with management.
She was awarded the Douglas Wilkie Medal for services to non-football, by the Anti-Football League, in 1992.
She hosted the Logie Awards of 2002 and was widely criticised for her poor performance.
Wendy is also the author of six books for adults including: "Nagging for Beginners", "Love and Punishment",Farewell My Ovaries, It's a Joke, Joyce and Love Gone Wrong. She has also written two plays, and a series of children's books about Pearlie the park fairy.
It is rumoured Harmer is now considering a career in politics.
