Welling, Alberta

Welling is a hamlet in southern Alberta, Canada. It is located north of the junction of Highway 5 and Highway 52, 30 km south of the city of Lethbridge.

The hamlet was first settled at the turn of the 20th century by Mormon pioneers from Utah. Its name came from the Welling Branch, the Mormon congregation that was established there in 1903. The Welling Branch was named after Job Welling of Farmington, Utah.
