Well Hung Jury

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Well Hung Jury was a professional improvisational comedy troupe based in Austin, Texas that performed regularly from 1998 to 2003.

Well Hung Jury held the record for longest unscripted performed narrative at 27 hours, performed in the summer of 2000 [1]. The record was rejected for consideration by the Guinness Book of World Records prompting the Jury's long held slogan of "Guinness Sucks!"[2]

The group was founded by Director Jeremy Lamb while still attending Westwood High School in the nearby Round Rock Independent School District. Other founding members include James Aldredge, Jeff Amos, Jonathan Benner, Aaron Saenz and Benjamin Sterling. Within the following year Andrei Haq, Ace Manning, former alternate Jordan T Maxwell, and Amy McCurdy were added to the troupe from its defunct sister troupe, the Free-Falling Malefactors. Audrey Sansom, and William Stern, Jr. joined in subsequent years. Regular guest performers include Jeff Manson (piano), Michael D'Alonzo, Michael Joplin, and Shana Merlin.

Lamb also started the Out of Bounds Improvisational Festival in 2002.[3].
