[edit] Removed original research
- "Many elements in manga that deemed too adult-material have been cut-off in storyline (like attempt-suicide with couple of pest-repellants "mixed with cockroach for flavor")."
This very much looked like original research to me. I don't think attempted suicide is much more "adult" than things such as porn and lolicon. Not that he even attempted it anyways, he only made the drink. I haven't kept up with the anime though, if the whole suicide club story gets cut as well then I think then it's pretty obvious that they are avoiding suicide references. But the suicide cocktail was just a small gag, not really important enough to infer anything from its absence. --SeizureDog 18:14, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

- Well, yes, but the fact is that many part that was in the manga was removed, such as references to certain drugs, extensive nudiety and such. Dooly00000 (talk • contribs • count)
- The nudity between the manga and anime is pretty much the same. Nipples are only visable a few times in the manga, and only slighty. The drug references I don't know about, as I didn't get that far into the anime. In any case, we certainly don't know that it is because of self-censorship that they are not present in the anime. Anime is nearly always a little different from its source material. Of course, I haven't read the novels. The anime may be true to it and the manga wasn't, I dunno. --SeizureDog 21:06, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
- In that case, I'll restore the animation part back to original only then. dooly00000 (talk • contribs • count)
- Ugh, I didn't even bring up "seems to be quite successful as of now" because I thought that was obviously bad OR. Not only does it use a bad WP:Peacock word, it also is uncertain in its assertion. The sentence doesn't mean anything. Removing again.--SeizureDog 21:17, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
- Oh, and the start date is in the infobox and looks too lonely by itself.--SeizureDog 21:18, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
- We do need some sort of text under that header though, otherwise it's just... lame looking, I guess. --tjstrf 21:24, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
- What we need is information aside from an episode list, which should probably be split off soon enough. Major (not minor) differences from the light novel (not manga) would be nice to go here, but I don't think anyone here actually has read the light novel :/ --SeizureDog 23:02, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
- I have, though only for the first five chapters (equalling two chapters of the manga or 3 episodes of the anime)....and I can say that the anime is actually closer to the novel. _dk 00:53, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
- I have not seen novel yet. I ordered it and waiting for the item to be shipped in few days. (I didn't even know novel existed until few weeks ago). Hopefully, I (and many others) can make some addition and removal by then. --Dooly00000 (talk • contribs • count) 20:19, 3 Sept. 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Episode summaries
The summary of episode 23 is too long to be featured on the 'Episode List' table. I suggest we create a new page named "Welcome to Misaki" and then proceed to create individual pages for the remaining episodes as the text comes along.-- Ishikawa Minoru 22:55, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
- I suggest we don't and just cut down the length of the summary of 23. The NHK anime is not notable enough for a page on every episode. _dk 03:34, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
- Altough I agree that there shouldn't be individual pages for each NHK ni Youkoso! episode, that kind of argument, _dk, doesn't make any sense, because... Wikipedia DOES have a page for each and every episode of the Simpsons, Star Trek and other notable-for-their-geek-audience series. In my opinion, that kind of information should only be included in Wikis about those series.ShinjiPG 13:58, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
- I'm aware of that. I myself do not like having an article about every episode of some series...but that's the way it is and it's gonna take a very big effort to change that. _dk 01:20, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] One thing I noticed....
It says NHK stands for "Nihon hikikomori kyokai" but near the end (episode 23 I think) it lists the "N" as possibly standing for various other negative traits, can't remember what they were but I definitely remember them. Of course, hikikomori is the primary H, just thought it was notable. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.100.234.9 (talk • contribs).
- "Other negative traits"? You realize that "Nihon" means "Japan" and isn't a "negative trait" right? In anycase, I don't think these other "meanings" deserve mention.--SeizureDog 23:05, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
