Weihenstephan is a former abbey, located within the German city of Freising (48,500 inhabitants) north of Munich, Bavaria. Weihenstephan is known

- as the Fachhochschule Weihenstephan
- for the Benedictine Weihenstephan Abbey, founded 725, which established the oldest brewery still in operation today (see beer). The brewery is now known as Bayerische Staatsbrauerei Weihenstephan (i.e. it is owned by the State of Bavaria) and closely related to the TUM and its graduate studies program for brewing and beverage manufacturing.
- for the Staatliche Molkerei Weihenstephan (the State-operated dairy Weihenstephan) which also closely cooperated with the TUM and its agricultural studies programme, but is now no longer owned by the State but has been sold to the Müller dairy group.
