Wednesday Night Heroes

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wednesday Night Heroes (aka WNH) are a punk band from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The WNH sound is likened to old school English punk bands: like GBH, the Clash, Slaughter and the Dogs and the Ejected real punk sound[citation needed]. The band consists of Graeme on vocals, Luke on bass, Konrad on guitar, and Jay on drums.

They released their first demo in September, 1997, which included six songs. In July, 2001, they released their first full length album, which was self-titled.

WNH songs can be found on punk compilations such as Rockin' the Streets Vol. 2, Mayday! Records comp, and Punx Unite Vol. 3, and Oi! Let's go Canada.

August 19, 2003 marked the day WNH released their second full length album, "Superiority Complex" which includes the anthemic "Music for the People".

Rumours that the band has signed with BYO Records have been spreading in their hometown [original research?].

The band plans to release a third album in summer 2006.
