Webroot Software is a company that creates computer security software. They currently market 5 main products, Spy Sweeper, Spam Shredder, Window Washer, Desktop Firewall, and Child Safe. The company has won numerous awards from PC Magazine, PC World and is also sponsored by Geek Squad and carried in all Geek Squad Precients. The corporate headquarters is located in Boulder, Colorado.

Webroot's first program Spy Sweeper is a program that contains an active shield against Spyware, Malware and Viruses. The program will also block access to well-known virus sites, or sites that are known to put Spyware cookies in your computer. The program can also be set on a timer to scan your computer for viruses and spyware. If it scans your computer and finds a threat, it moves the virus to the Quarantine. From there it has a list of all threat's found as well as a Threat Assesment scale. At that point you can choose if you want to keep any, And then it will delete all traces of the threat, and perform a follow-up scan.

The second program Webroot created is known as Window Washer. It is a program that erases left-over traces of your computer activity, that can slow down system performance. Some of the areas Window Washer cleans are, History, Address Bar, Cookies and MTF. It also has a "Custom Wash"" setting which allows you to manually select programs on your hard drive that you would like to be cleaned. It has won awards from PC Magazine, PC World, PC Pro and Cnet.
