We Have All the Time in the World

"We Have All The Time In The World" is a James Bond theme and popular song performed by Louis Armstrong. It was written by John Barry (music) and Hal David (lyrics), and used as a secondary theme for the 1969 James Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service; the title sequence theme being "On Her Majesty's Secret Service", an instrumental theme also written by Barry. The title, "We Have All The Time In The World", is taken from James Bond's final words in both the original novel and the movie, spoken after the murder of his wife.

The song did not even enter the charts in the UK when it was first released, only becoming well known 25 years later as part of a Guinness beer commercial.

In 2005 a BBC survey concluded that the song was the third most popular song to be performed at a wedding [1].

Artists that have covered "We Have All the Time in the World" include My Bloody Valentine, Iggy Pop, Fun Lovin' Criminals, Vic Damone, Amalia Grè and Tindersticks.

Iggy Pop's cover of this song is played during the end credits of the movie "The Jacket". Coincidentally the movie also stars Daniel Craig, who went on to portray Bond.
