[edit] Trivia
- This episode's title is a reference to a song sung in the film The Wizard of Oz.
- This marks the fourth and final time Alyssa Milano changed her hair in Season 4. Now she has appeared to have dyed her hair in an almost black hue. This is to prepare her character switching to evil.
- Phoebe announces her pregnancy in this episode.
- The Wizard tells the Charmed Ones that he knows all about them and then proceeds to call Piper "Peeper", to which Piper corrects him. This may have been deliberate to annoy her.
- Phoebe realizes that she has the power to throw fire in this episode when she kills a demon with it. Leo then tells her that the power to throw fire is a demonic gift. However, good beings were shown to possess this power in the episodes Something Wicca This Way Comes and Lost and Bound. It was also alluded to that a good witch possessed this ability in Witch Wars. Phoebe's past life also possessed this power in Pardon My Past. There may be a subtle difference between the two, the good power has been described as Pyrokinesis or a Firestarter, meaning to create fire like the witch in Something Wicca This Way Comes and the evil power can be simply Fire Throwing, which is less controlled and just simply throwing the fire, like Phoebe displayed in this episode.
- Phoebe decides to become evil at Cole's side in this episode, thus leaving her sisters.
- Cole's secretary Julie is killed in this episode.
- In the episode Saving Private Leo, when Cole is interviewing Julie, he asks her what powers she has and she mentions, amongst others, fireballs. However, in this episode she throws energy balls not fireballs.
- It was stated earlier in the episode that good magic can't touch the Grimoire, so Piper suggested casting a spell on the bag where Paige orbed the Source's book.
- From this episode, we discover that Paige is able to use good power to teleport the Grimoire, while the demons and warlocks never use evil magic to teleport out the Halliwell's Book of Shadows besides Abraxas in Witch Trial.
- Actor Armin Shimerman, who plays the Wizard, is most known for his roles as the Ferengi bartender Quark in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and as Principal Snyder from Seasons 2 and 3 of Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
- Janelle Pierzina from Big Brother 6 had a small appearance where she was sitting on the wizard's lap.
