WDRC operates on 1360 khz and is owned by Buckley Broadcasting Corporation. It operates full time with 5,000 watts of power with studios and transmitters located in Bloomfield, CT
WDRC is the flagship station of Buckley Broadcasting's four Connecticut stations running a talk format with the slogan "The Talk of Connecticut" (the other stations are WSGN, Torrington, WWCO Waterbury and WMMW in Meriden).
WDRC was the first commercial AM station in the state of Connecticut, originally operating from New Haven, CT. Its sister station, WDRC-FM, was the first commercial FM station in the entire United States, and is broadcast at 102.9 MHz.
