WBTW, channel 13, is the CBS television affiliate for Myrtle Beach and Florence, South Carolina and parts of southeastern North Carolina. The station is based in Florence, with a second newsroom in Myrtle Beach. Its transmitter is located in Dillon, South Carolina.

The station went on the air in 1954 at channel 8, owned by Jefferson Standard Life Insurance Company (later became Jefferson-Pilot, now Lincoln Financial Group). It was Jefferson Standard's second television station (behind WBTV in Charlotte), and was named WBTW because W is the next letter in the alphabet after V (although it wasn't a satellite of WBTV). In the early 1960s, WBTW moved to channel 13 and channel 8 was re-allocated to High Point, North Carolina. For many years, it was the only commercial television station between Wilmington, North Carolina and Charleston, South Carolina. Until WPDE signed on in 1980, WBTW aired some ABC programming in addition to what was being offered by CBS as well.

During the time the station was owned by Spartan Communcations in the late 1980's and early 1990's, the station branded itself as the "Best of Two Worlds" playing off the B, T, and W in its call letters.

Today, it is owned by Media General, which also owns the Florence Morning News.

CBS programming was seen in the Wilmington, North Carolina area on WBTW-TV and WNCT-TV in Greenville, North Carolina until low-powered WILM-LP in Wilmington affiliated with CBS in 2000. WBTW-TV and WNCT-TV still serve some parts of the Wilmington market that don't get WILM-LP's signal over the air or on cable.

WBTW produces FOX NEWS @ TEN for FOX affiliate WFXB. The CBS and FOX affiliate began a news share agreement in 2004.

WBTW-TV shows News Corporation's new MyNetworkTV on its digital subchannel 13.2 [1].
