WBGD

WBGD - 91.9 FM, based in Brick Township, New Jersey, and currently broadcasting from Brick Memorial High School, went on the air in the late 1980's originally playing music of the era. They were once a very active station, featuring a mix of CHR and alternative music. Since the station was retaken by a member of the faculty in 2006, there has been a 24-hour variety of music and student broadcasting. Brick Township was focusing on the TV aspect of the media outlet - but now there is renewed interest in the radio station. The WBGD originally stood for "Brick Green Dragons", but now they are looking for a moniker that incorporates both schools in Brick Township.
WBGD now has a variety of different shows from Rockology, a show that focuses on a specific rock band and plays a select list of songs by that band and explains various details about that band, to Wilty And The Snake, a variety show featuring two clueless DJs that play and say what they want, with advice shows to pure music, including a live show every Friday presented by DJ Nick.
