"WBAE-TV" is the local CW affiliate in Alpena, Michigan. The WBAE callsign is fictional, as the station is a cable-only station. As a result of being a cable-only CW affiliate, the station is part of The CW Plus, a special CW cable feed that serves smaller television markets with a DMA rank above 100 (the Alpena television market has a rank of 208). WBAE can be seen on cable channel 21 and is known on-air as "Alpena's CW". Like most CW Plus affiliates, WBAE offers The Daily Buzz shown weekday mornings 6 to 9 AM.
Like most other CW Plus stations, WBAE was originally part of The WB, through The WB 100+ Station Group, until The WB and UPN shut down in September of 2006 to form The CW. As a CW affiliate, there is no known logo for WBAE and the station does not have its own website. As a WB affiliate, there was no website either although WBAE has a WB logo.
