Waynflete School

Waynflete School is a private day school in Portland, Maine, founded in 1898. Waynflete is one of two notable independent private schools in the greater Portland area, the other being North Yarmouth Academy. Currently the school is raising money to build a multi-million dollar arts center.
The School has around 550 students for grades K through 12. The High School has about 250 students.
The campus is made up of old townhouses, all modified for school use. Waynflete is located in Portland's West End.
Recent graduates have matriculated at several prestigious colleges and universities.

Waynflete's Athletic Program offers a variety of competitive and recreational sports. Also students are allowed to apply for an Independent Athletic Program (IAP) which allows students who play sports outside of school, or play sports which are not offered at the school, to gain credit for those activities.
