Wayne State College is a four-year public college in the Nebraska State College System in Wayne, Nebraska. The current enrollment is 3,356.

The college opened as a State Normal School in 1910 after the State purchased the private Nebraska Normal College (established 1891).

Wayne State offers 90 different programs of study in four Schools: Arts and Humanities, Business and Technology, Education and Counseling, and Natural and Social Sciences.

Wayne State also offers many classes at Northeast Community College in Norfolk, Nebraska.

Wayne State offers 15 NCAA Division II sports and is a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. The nickname is the Wildcats.

WSC offers Baseball, Men and Women's Basketball, Men and Women's Cross Country, Football, Men and Women's Golf, Women's Soccer, Softball, Men and Women's Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field, and Women's Volleyball.

The football team plays at Bob Cunningham Field and is coached by Dan McLaughlin, a former Nebraska assistant. The Wildcats had a 5-6 record in 2006.
