Wayne Quinn

Wayne Quinn (born 19 November 1976 in Truro) is an English professional football player, he plays as a defender.
He started his career at Sheffield United, breaking into their first team in 1997. In 2001 he was loaned to Newcastle United, who later purchased him for £800,000. After a difficult time at the club, he was loaned back out to Sheffield United, and then West Ham before being released on a free transfer in 2004. He now owns a caravan site in Wales. He plays for Penzance football club and is a valuable member of the squad.
Wayne Quinn played for England's International Under 21 team, and also played for England's International 'B' side. He not only played at left full-back but could play as a left-sided midfielder.
Played for Sheffield United in The F.A Cup Semi Final against Newcastle United in which Sheffield United lost 1-0. Wayne was hailed as one of the outstanding players in the tie, which contributed to his transfer to Newcastle United soon afterwards. Although was valued in the £2-3 million bracket at his peak.
A wasted talent. In his first season or two at Sheffield United, he looked like being a top english left-back. Many fans felt he had lost his desire, some time before his move to Newcastle.
