From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wayne Howell (died July 8, 1993) was a voice-over announcer for the NBC television network from the 1950s through the 1980s. He was one member of a core group of announcers including Don Pardo, Bill Wendell, and Howard Reig who handled not only introducing and closing programs, but also teasers and promotions for the network's shows.

Among the programs Howell announced on were Music Bingo, Dotto, Say When, Young Doctor Malone, Concentration, and Jackpot!. Howell presumably provided voice overs for numerous other NBC programs during his tenure, often as a substitute for the show's regular announcer.

Little is known about his early life and career.
