[edit] Career
Gill began his career with Blackburn Rovers but failed to make a first-team appearance, spending time on loan at Dundee United and Blackpool. A move in 2000-01 to Tranmere Rovers brought a fruitful spell of seven goals in twelve appearances but the following season he moved to Oldham, where he would spend the next two years. In 2003-04, he moved to Scarborough, before a final playing spell with Droylsden. Gill retired from football and became a physio, working at Lancaster City.
