Wayne Corporation was a good article candidate, but did not meet the good article criteria at the time. Once the objections listed below are addressed, the article can be renominated. You may also seek a review of the decision if you feel there was a mistake.

Welcome to the Talk page for Wayne Corporation.

A few suggestions for getting to WP:GA:

  • References: the article was based on more than just the safety link, right? References should be cited within the text, e.g. with <ref> tags.
  • Too many sections: some of the subsections are short and shouldn't be split from the parent section.
  • A little long (but acceptable): you could solve this problem and the one above by using Wikipedia:Summary style.
  • The whole thing is organised chronologically which isn't necessarily the most logical layout, though since I know little about the subject I'll stay out of that.
  • Some of the links are duplicated many times, notably Richmond, Indiana. After the first mention you can drop the link, and unless the context is ambiguous you don't need to keep repeating the state.

I haven't read the whole article, but if I get a moment later I might go through and make a few cosmetic changes. You might like to try Wikipedia:Peer review for further ideas. Joe D (t) 00:46, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
