WAUG

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

WAUG is a Class D AM radio station licensed to operate on the frequency of 750 kHz in New Hope, North Carolina (near Raleigh) to Saint Augustine's College. The college also runs a low-powered TV station, W68BK, which uses the unofficial designation of WAUG-TV, patterned after the radio station's callsign. WAUG "Power 750" signed on in February of 1987 from the campus of Saint Augustine's College. The 500-watt station has aired a gospel and inspirational format from the very beginning. WAUG radio is a daytime-only operation, shutting down at sunset to make way for the 50,000-watt WSB in Atlanta.
