Watson Chapel School District

Watson Chapel School District is a school district located on the west side of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. The district currently enrolls more than 3,400 students, and employs more than 227 people. The school district has 5 schools: Edgewood Elementary, which serves kindergarten and the first grade, L. L. Owen Elementary School, which serves the 2nd and 3rd grades, Coleman Intermediate School, which serves the 4th through 6th grades, Watson Chapel Junior High, which serves the 7th through 9th grades, and Watson Chapel Senior High School, which serves the 10th through 12th grades. The school district's mascot is the wildcat. The district has been named a defendant in a case by the ACLU after it suspended several students for wearing armbands in protest of the school's uniform policy.
