Waters, Ontario
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Waters is a community in the Ontario city of Greater Sudbury.
The community's name refers to the geographic township of Waters. For postal delivery and telephone exchange purposes, addresses in the community are considered to be part of Lively, although residents of the area usually consider them to be distinct communities. From the intersection of Municipal Roads 24 and 55, Lively refers to the area extending north along MR 24, while Waters refers to the area extending westward along MR 55 toward Naughton.
From 1973 to 2000, Waters was part of the town of Walden, in the Regional Municipality of Sudbury. On January 1, 2001, the Regional Municipality was dissolved into the single-tier City of Greater Sudbury.
