Waterproofing
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Waterproofing is a method by which an item is made resistant to damage by water. It is used in many areas, including clothing.
Water proofing has it's advantages, especially when you are playing a sport where there is a possibility to get wet. For example, if you play soccer on a rainy day your cleets will be wet. So instead of trotting around in soggy shoes, waterproof them so your feet can stay nice and dry. The same goes with baseball, airsoft, hockey and many others.
If your shoes have a "Waterproof" label then don't take the time to spray them. If your cleets are made of leather, then you may want to coat them over with a bit of waterproofing spray. Leather tends to soak in quite easily. If your cleets are made of plastic, then leave them alone for, they have less of a chance to get wet in the rain.
