Water Stratford is a village in Buckinghamshire, England. It is located in the Aylesbury Vale, near the border with Oxfordshire, about three miles west of Buckingham.
The village name 'Stratford' is a common one in England, and means 'ford by a Roman road'. The Roman road in this sense is the ancient Fosse Way. The prefix 'Water' was added to differentiate the village from other places called Stratford.
