Water Country is one of the few amusement parks in the area to allow and encourage its guests to bring picnic lunches into the park. They provide several large picnic areas at various points so guests can eat without having to leave the park. Alcoholic beverages, however, are strictly prohibited and are sold nowhere on the premises. Glass containers are also prohibited on the premises.

This park is in no way and has never been affiliated with Anheuser-Busch Adventure Parks or Water Country USA. Water Country USA, which also opened in 1984, added a USA after its name in order to distinguish itself from Water Country in New Hampshire.
