I have removed the reference to Warren County and have done some related copy-editing. Warren Township (where Watchung Hills Regional HS is located) is in Somerset County, not Warren County.

There are a couple of interesting things about this district that might be referenced in this article, but in one case I think there should probably be a published source for it, and in the other case I am not certain it is really significant enough for an encyclopedia with nationwide worldwide readership. First, this school district is the only district in New Jersey that educates children from more than one county. I will look later on the district web site and/or the State Dept. of Ed. web site to see if there is verification of that. Second, while Warren, Watchung and Long Hill are the members of the district, Green Brook students attend on a sending-receiving basis where the Green Brook district pays tuition. As I said, I am not sure how "notable" this fact is and whether it justifies rewriting the sentence about which communities are in the district. I suspect that to the students and staff, it makes little or no difference. It does make a difference in terms of finance (Green Brook probably pays more per student in tuition than the others pay per student in taxes, but Green Brook's taxpayers do not get taxed to pay off the bonds for construction of/additions to the school, which may or may not work out to a "wash." Also, the member communities are represented on the Board of Education proportional to their population, by elected board members, while Green Brook has only one representative regardless of population, and that representative is appointed by Green Brook's own board of ed, not elected. Some of these subjects perhaps would warrant mention in an article on education in NJ (if there is one) because the sending-receiving situation and the issues relating to it, exist in dozens of places in NJ. Thanks for the copyediting of the article I had created. As part of Wikiproject new Jersey, I have been creating pages for each of the 75-odd regional / consolidated school districts, a task I am about 80% finished with. I was baffled as to where I got Warren County from, and I now realize that it was the fact that Warren Township was involved that got the county stuck in my brain. Please note that there are several other districts that cross county boundaries, such as Greater Egg Harbor Regional High School District, based in Atlantic County, New Jersey, which also serves Washington Township, Burlington County, New Jersey in Burlington; East Windsor Regional School District in Mercer (page not yet created) that also serves Roosevelt, New Jersey in Monmouth; and Lenape Valley Regional High School in Sussex serves Netcong, New Jersey in Morris. Where I have been able to get info in the Board of Education splits in a district I have included the information, and it would be worth inclusion, as would information about which communities are part of the district and which are part of a sending/receiving relationship (and the nature of the relationship). An article on Education in New Jersey is probably much-needed, but would require a great deal of thought in construction. I am doing a great deal of research (and Wikipedia work) on the subject and would hope to be involved in just such an article in the future. Alansohn 20:01, 29 December 2005 (UTC)

I am going to have to remember who told me that Watchung Hills is the only inter-county district in NJ, obviously that is not correct. As for Warren Township (Somerset County) and Warren County, what adds to the confusion is that there IS a Warren Hills (Regional) High School in Warren County, but the HS that is actually in a town called "Warren" is Watchung Hills HS in Somerset... which serves students from Watchung Borough, but is in Warren Township. Oh well. What's worse is that Bernards High School in Somerset County (part of the Somerset Hills Regional District) serves several communities NOT including Bernards Township, and the high school in Bernards Township is called Ridge High School. Watchung Hills Regional is NOT the only inter-county school district in NJ. As a resident of Morris County, I know that two districts outside of the county are inter-county school districts: Watchung Hills Regional High School and Lenape Valley Regional High School (in Sussex County).
