On one of their early live albums, The Irish Rovers sang this variant on an old song, the first verse of which is:

My old man's a dustman
He wears a dustman's hat
He wears cor-"blimey" trousers
And he lives in a Council flat
He looks so proper, done up
In his great big hobnail boots
He has such a time to pull 'em up
That he calls 'em daisy roots
