Washingtonville Senior High School is located on NY 94 in the village of Washingtonville, New York. It is the high school for the Washingtonville Central School District.

The adjacent middle school was once the high school.

WHS has received accreditation by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. Washingtonville High School has set forth three particular goals: 1) Students will demonstrate increased academic performance (i.e. achieving mastery rate (85%) on NYS Regents Examinations). 2) Students will demonstrate preparation for and motivation to study at more rigorous levels of learning (i.e. Advanced Placement/College Courses). 3) Students will be engaged within a positive social and emotional environment.

Finally, Phase I of the High School building project, as approved by voters in November of 2003, is in its final stages. Phase I work that has been completed this summer includes: additional cafeteria and kitchen space, a new freezer, renovated and updated science and computer labs, a new PE station, a new computer server room, and relocation of Athletic office space. Phase II, the school's new academic wing, is also ready for occupancy and was opened at the start of a new marking period on January 30, 2007. The school now houses a new art room, three new computer labs and 13 new classrooms, along with the smallest of three cafeterias which will most likely be occupied by freshmen.

Phase I of the project produced mediocre results. For example, in science classrooms, chemical safety shower stations were placed infront of doorways. A spill of anykind would trap students in the alleged "science lab." The students suffer from excessive overcrowding; many bathrooms lack soap and paper towels or mechanical hand dryers, a hygenic issue.
