Washington Township is one of 18 townships in Richland County, Ohio. It is part of the Mansfield, Ohio Metropolitan Statistical Area. Washington borders the following Richland County townships and municipalities:
- Jefferson (south)
- Madison (north)
- Mifflin (northeast tip)
- Monroe (east)
- Perry (southwest tip)
- Springfield (northwest tip)
- Troy (west)
- Worthington (southeast tip)
- City of Mansfield (north)
- Village of Lexington {west}
- Village of Bellville {south}
It is one of 43 Washington Townships in Ohio; "Washington" is the most popular township name in the state.
