Washington Presbytery

Washington Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church (USA), was formed from Transylvania Presbytery in 1799. It comprised the area of Kentucky and Ohio northeast of the Licking River and north of the Ohio River. In 1802, Washington Presbytery, Transylvania Presbytery, and West Lexington Presbytery were formed into Kentucky Synod, separate from the Synod of Virginia.
