Warwick Keay

Warwick Keay was born 13th June 1957 in Palmerston North, New Zealand. His early musical studies included playing the cornet and the violin, a background shared by his elder brother Nigel Keay. His father Allan Keay was an accomplished amateur pianist and choral conductor While living in Hamilton in the seventies Warwick Keay embarked on a musical career as bass player, and played for the following New Zealand bands: Euphoria, Gasworks Band, The Knobz, Flight X-7 and Auckland Walk. He was also a songwriter. Auckland Walk which included Michel Morris, Eddie Olsen, Carey Peterson and Damien Saunders produced an album called "rythmic tendencies" on Warner Brothers WEA in 1983. Warwick Keay moved to Sydney in the mid-eighties.
