[edit] Original Warriors

This series is told by the point of view from Rusty, a kittypet from Twolegplace who is invited to ThunderClan. His name changes to Firepaw, Fireheart, and than Firestar. But, to Rusty's complete surprise, this is not just hunting for his own food. Being a part of the Clan consists of death, loyalty, fear, and pain, yet in the end, it is all worthwhile.

[edit] Into the Wild

Into the Wild is the first title in the Warriors series. In the prologue, ThunderClan battles against RiverClan at the Sunningrocks, but Redtail, ThunderClan's deputy, realizes that ThunderClan is forced to retreat because they are outnumbered. Later, Spottedleaf, the medicine cat of ThunderClan, receives a prophecy from StarClan, stating to Bluestar, ThunderClan's leader, that, "Fire alone can save [their] Clan." Bluestar is unsure that fire can save the Clan, because fire is feared by all Clans, but she accepts Spottedleaf's words.

The book then begins with a "kittypet" (Clan cats' name for housecats) named Rusty, who wanders off into the woods and is stumbled upon by a ThunderClan apprentice named Graypaw. Unknown to the two young cats, two warriors watch them - Lionheart, who is Graypaw's mentor, and Bluestar. After watching Rusty and Graypaw fight but then make up, Bluestar offers Rusty a chance to join their Clan and train as an apprentice. Rusty accepts and is newly named Firepaw, for the way his flame-colored coat shone in the sunlight. However, Firepaw soon learns that kittypets are thought to be soft and useless to most Clan-born cats - and Firepaw is a cat who does not have "warrior blood" in his veins at all. But Bluestar accepts Firepaw's kittypet heritage, and even takes him as her own apprentice later.

Firepaw has to grow up fast and train hard to become a full, respected warrior and member of the Clan. He discovers a natural hunting ability in himself, and is eventually accepted by most of the Clan. Firepaw's suspicion about Tigerclaw deepens when Tigerclaw is appointed deputy, after Lionheart (who had become deputy after the death of Redtail) is killed in battle.

From Ravenpaw, another Thunderclan apprentice, Firepaw finds out that it was Tigerclaw, not Oakheart, who actually killed the former ThunderClan deputy, Redtail. Ravenpaw had witnessed the murder. But, guessing that Ravenpaw will tell the truth if he hasn't already, Tigerclaw spreads rumors that Ravenpaw has gone over to ShadowClan. Firepaw saves Ravenpaw from danger by sending him to Barley, a feral cat that they had met before. Tigerclaw is a fierce hunter and the best fighter in all of the Clans. No cat would believe that Tigerclaw is disloyal to ThunderClan, though he is very ambitious. Tigerclaw does think, however, that kittypets are filth and he has always shown hatred toward young Firepaw. He taunts him and tries to make him miserable. Firepaw overcomes him, but something horrible happens.

Spottedleaf is killed in an attack by Clawface of ShadowClan. Firepaw is devastated. Also, some of the ThunderClan kits go missing. Tigerclaw immediately blames Yellowfang, who is not present after the battle. Yellowfang, ShadowClan's previous medicine cat, had been captured by Firepaw at an earlier time, and Firepaw grows to become friends with the old she-cat after having to take care of her. Many cats in ThunderClan distrust Yellowfang both because of her former Clan, and also because of a warning given at a Gathering. Brokenstar, ShadowClan's leader, described a mangy, old she-cat who ShadowClan had driven from their Clan. He warned that no other Clan should take her in and watch their kits closely.

Since Frostfur's kits were stolen, Firepaw is determined to prove Yellowfang's innocence and rescue the kits. Now, it is up to the flame-colored apprentice and his best friend, Graypaw, to find them and prove their loyalty. After rescuing the kits and driving the dark-willed Brokenstar his position as ShadowClan's leader, Firepaw and Graypaw are promoted to ThunderClan warriors, and receive new names - Fireheart and Graystripe. And hidden by the bushes is the ThunderClan deputy, Tigerclaw, glowering at the two new warriors with his fiery amber eyes. The story ends when the two new warriors begin their traditional silent vigil until dawn.

  • Births: Ashkit, Fernkit, Brindleface's unnamed kits.
  • Deaths: Redtail, Oakheart, Bluestar (seventh life), Lionheart, Spottedleaf, Rosetail, two unamed ShadowClan kits
  • Apprentices Made: Firepaw
  • Warriors Made: Fireheart, Graystripe

[edit] Fire and Ice

Fireheart and Graystripe are now Warriors, they receive their first warrior mission by Bluestar to bring WindClan home (who were driven out by Brokenstar, the former leader of ShadowClan). On their way back from their successful mission accompanied by a WindClan escort, they decided to take a short cut by the gorge in RiverClan territory. They were caught by a RiverClan patrol, which forces them into a fight. A ThunderClan patrol arrived to help their fellow Clan mates. Graystripe engaged in battle with Whiteclaw, a RiverClan warrior near the gorge. Graystripe nearly tumbled off the cliff while his opponent Whiteclaw, got the worst of it and fell into the roaring river below. Fireheart saves Sandpaw from falling off the cliff.

Graystripe, Fireheart's best friend, fell into the river one day and almost drowned. Silverstream, a RiverClan cat and daughter of Crookedstar, saved his life. Later, Graystripe fell in love with the silver cat, and wound up with a big obsession with Silverstream. Fireheart knew Graystripe was breaking every rule of the warrior code by falling in love with Silverstream, but he still covers for him. Fireheart tried to discourage them from seeing each other, but it doesn't work. Finally, he lets Graystripe meet Silverstream, but later they agreed that they shall only meet at the Gatherings.

Fireheart also trains his apprentice, Cinderpaw, and Graystripe's apprentice, Brackenpaw. But then Cinderpaw is injured on the Thunderpath (a highway) and a fight with WindClan against RiverClan and ShadowClan tests Fireheart's and Graystripe's loyalty to their Clan. Graystripe attacks only the ShadowClan warriors, and it is very clear that his loyalties have been divided. Silverstream attacks Fireheart thinking he is someone else. She lets him go when Graystripe cries "Silverstream! No!", but Fireheart instinctively pins her down afterward. He only lets her go when he sees a horrified-looking Graystripe. Unfortunately, Darkstripe sees him, and later tells Tigerclaw. At one point in the battle, Fireheart gets attacked by Leopardfur. Tigerclaw stood nearby, but did nothing except watch. Fireheart is certain now, that Tigerclaw can never be trusted.

Also, Fireheart is reunited with his sister Princess, a kittypet living in Twolegplace early in the book. After Cinderpaw is crippled by her Thunderpath accident, Princess gives Fireheart her oldest kit to take into the Clan so that her brother can have another apprentice. Fireheart agrees to take the kit, but Bluestar and the rest of the clan are reluctant to accept him. Even so, she names Fireheart's nephew Cloudkit and allows him to stay, and Brindleface becomes his "foster mother".

  • Births: Cloudkit, Princess's other kits
  • Deaths: Whiteclaw, Bluestar (eighth life), Clawface, some WindClan elders
  • Apprentices Made: Brackenpaw, Cinderpaw
  • Warriors Made: Dustpelt, Sandstorm

[edit] Forest of Secrets

Allegiances are shifting among the Clans of the warrior cats who roam the forest. With tensions so delicately balanced, former friends can become enemies overnight, and some cats are willing to betray their own Clan. Fireheart is more determined than ever to uncover the truth about Tigerclaw, though it is not easy. However, at the same time, Fireheart has to carry on his warrior duties and cover for Graystripe, who's affair with Silverstream is in full steam. However, everything changes when she finds out she's pregnant with Graystripe's kits. This is where everything changes in ThunderClan.

Fireheart and Graystripe face danger with Tigerclaw, who has noticed Graystripe missing many times. But then tragedy strikes as Silverstream dies during her kitting and Graystripe is left heartbroken. The whole of ThunderClan now knows and it seems like Graystripe will never be trusted again. He takes his kits to RiverClan and Fireheart is left alone, perhaps having to fight against his best friend.

Later, a band of rogues led by Tigerclaw attack ThunderClan's camp. During the chaos, Tigerclaw corners Bluestar in her den and tries to kill her. Fireheart arrives just in time to save his leader and drive Tigerclaw away. Bluestar is very shaken and unable to believe Tigerclaw's mutiny, though she manages to announce Tigerclaw's exile from the Clan. Fireheart then reveals Tigerclaw's treachery to all of ThunderClan. Tigerclaw then, one by one, asks the warriors Darkstripe,Longtail and even Dustpelt if they want to join him but each cat refuses. Then after a very long wait by Bluestar, Fireheart himself is made deputy, but he is made so after moonhigh, which is against Clan tradition. Life is harder and things change at full speed. Fireheart is unsure if he will ever be a worthy successor of Tigerclaw.

  • Births: Stormkit, Featherkit, Bramblekit, Tawnykit
  • Deaths: Silverstream, Brokentail
  • Apprentices Made:Cloudpaw
  • Warriors Made: Brackenfur

[edit] Rising Storm

Fireheart's traitorous enemy Tigerclaw has been vanquished and exiled from ThunderClan -- but Fireheart can't shake the feeling that he's lurking out there in the forest, waiting for the chance to strike. And when he does, Fireheart wonders if ThunderClan will be ready. Most of the cats are still shocked of Tigerclaw's disloyalty and many are badly injured. On top of it, Bluestar does not seem like herself. Her mind has been damaged by Tigerclaw.

That's not the only problem facing the young ThunderClan deputy. In these blazing summer months, Fireheart struggles to handle ominous omens, his disrespectful nephew and apprentice Cloudpaw, who has a shocking secret, and his devastated Clan leader, who is a shell of her former self. And the fact that his best friend, Graystripe, fell in love with the RiverClan she-cat Silverstream, and had kits with her, although the kits' birth led to Silverstream's death. Graystripe takes the kits and joins their mother's Clan, while very aware that he has broken the warrior code. Meanwhile the forest gets hotter and hotter, and a fire sweeps through the forest, destroying ThunderClan's camp and taking the lives of a few cats, including ThunderClan's medicine cat Yellowfang.

Is the prophecy of "fire will save the Clan" wrong? When Bluestar, accompanied by Fireheart, goes to speak to StarClan at Mothermouth, a patrol of WindClan warriors, led by Mudclaw, stops them. The ThunderClan leader later frets about StarClan sending WindClan to stop her, and she believes that it was true. Bluestar had eaten traveling herbs before the journey, and cats who are to speak with StarClan are not allowed to eat beforehand. Even so, the WindClan patrol had no right to stop Bluestar from journeying to Highstones, and that troubles Fireheart.

  • Births: Sorrelkit, Sootkit, Rainkit
  • Deaths: Whitethroat, Runningwind, Yellowfang, Halftail, Patchpelt, Nightstar, Cinderfur
  • Apprentices Made:Fernpaw and Ashpaw

  • Medicine cats made: Cinderpelt

[edit] A Dangerous Path

ShadowClan has a dark new leader, Tigerstar, the exiled deputy from ThunderClan. Will he be satisfied with his power now -- or does his desire for revenge burn stronger yet? Fireheart, the deputy, fears that there is a connection between the rise of Tigerstar and the terrible dreams of danger that haunt his nights. Meanwhile, a mysterious threat has invaded the forest, placing every life in peril. Fireheart hears the words "Pack, pack," and "kill, kill" everywhere. However, he doesn't have much time to dwell on that because of Bluestar's lack of faith of StarClan and even her own Clan. Fireheart doesn't know if he convince Bluestar that ThunderClan cats aren't traitors and save the Clan at the same time. He worries if Bluestar is really out of her mind and wanting to attack WindClan, who Bluestar believes has been stealing ThunderClan's prey. However, Fireheart soon finds a bloodless way of solving the problem.

But then they find out that a pack of dogs threatens the Clan and Fireheart suspects that Tigerstar has something to do with this. Fireheart finds a way to get the dogs out of the forest once and for all: by leading through the forest and over the gorge. When Fireheart is at the gorge, leading the dogs to the edge, Tigerstar attacks him, holding him down so that he'll fall victim to the blood-thirsty beasts. Just at the last moment, Bluestar comes in out of thin air, slamming into the lead dog and driving it over the cliff to save her Clan. The dog goes tumbling over the gorge, but so does Bluestar. Firestar hurries after his leader, but Bluestar dies after she's pulled out of the river by Fireheart, Stonefur, and Mistyfoot(her own children whome she had sent to riverclan to save her own clan). Before her death, she tells Fireheart that he is the fire that would save the clan. Now, after the tearful death of his mentor and leader, Fireheart has no choice but to become leader of ThunderClan.

[edit] The Darkest Hour

In this final volume of the Warriors series, Fireheart becomes the leader of ThunderClan and, in the tradition of Clan leaders, receives his nine lives and the name Firestar from StarClan. His Warrior ceremony is interupted when a huge hill of bones apears, followed by a river of blood. During this chaos, Bluestar, former leader of ThunderClan, gives him the prophecy 'Four will become two, Lion and Tiger will meet in battle, and blood will rule the forest'.

Upon returning, Firestar has suspicions on Darkstripe, a warrior and a former aly of Tigerstar. He orders Brackenfur to keep an eye on him. On Firestar's way back from visiting his kittypet sister, Princess, Firestar finds Sorrelkit, a ThunderClan kit, poisened next to a pile of chewed up deathberries. Graystipe attacks Darkstipe, whom he accuses feeding the deathberries to Sorrelkit. Sorrelkit recovers and finally reveals that Darkstripe did feed the berries to her. Darkstripe is exiled from ThunderClan. Darkstripe goes to join his former ally, Tigerstar. In the prologue, Tigerstar makes a deal with BloodClan, made up of very many strong, stray cats from Twolegplace. Tigerstar plans to use BloodClan to convince the other Clans to join his Clan, called TigerClan. As Tigerstar is their leader, ShadowClan is automatically a part of TigerClan, and RiverClan joins them. However, ThunderClan and WindClan refuse and are given by Tigerstar a period of time to change their minds. During this period, TigerClan attacks WindClan, weakening their warriors greatly. Then Graystipe, wants to check on his kin, Stormpaw and Featherpaw. Accompanied by Ravenpaw on a visit,They go to TigerClan (The new RiverClan) And find not only Graystripes kin, but Bluestar's kin (Mistyfoot and Stonefur) prisoners of TigerClan. Tigerstar accuses HalfClaned (cats with parentage in different clans) of being traitors. He orders Darkstripe to kill them all. Darkstipe launches into battle with Stonefur, hoping to gain back his glory. Darkstipe ends up losing against Stonefur, Blackfoot steps in and finishes off Stonefur. Afterwards Mistyfoot, Stormpaw and Featherpaw are taken back into their prison. Ravenpaw convinces the guard that he is a RiverClan cat and that Tigerstar has a message for him. The group eventually escapes with the prisoners. When time runs out for Tigerstar's offer, Firestar prepares to fight. Tigerstar orders BloodClan to fight for him, yet they make no move. Scourge, BloodClan's leader, tells Tigerstar that he is the only cat in charge of BloodClan. Firestar takes that chance to make an impression on Scourge by announcing to the cats of every Clan, including BloodClan, Tigerstar's wicked past.

After hearing everything, Scourge decides that there will be no battle that day, and Tigerstar attacks him. Scourge fights and kills Tigerstar, wiping out all nine of his lives in one blow. Scourge gives all of the forest Clans three days to either leave the forest, or fight BloodClan for it. To face this danger, the four Clans unite as one and call their alliance LionClan. They go into battle against BloodClan, and during the climax, Firestar loses his first life to Scourge. He revives, much to Scourge's shock, and kills the BloodClan leader. After Scourge's death, the BloodClan cats fall apart with no motivation to keep fighting. The LionClan is victorious. The Clan splits back into four separate Clans, and the power in the forest is returned to normal, for now.

  • Births: None
  • Deaths: Stonefur, Gorsepaw, Tigerstar (all of his lives in one blow), Whitestorm, Bone, Scourge, Firestar (first life), Darkstripe

  • Warriors Made: Thornclaw, Brightheart

[edit] Warriors: The New Prophecy

The next series is told by Brambleclaw, a young ThunderClan warrior, and Leafaw (later known as Leafpool), the apprentice medicine cat of ThunderClan, mostly. But in a few novels, the story is told by Stormfur, a fine RiverClan warrior, and Squirrelpaw (later known as Squirrelflight), an anoying blabbermouth ThunderClan apprentice with a big heart. This series takes place a year later from Firestar's point of view. It is filled with love and loyalty, but not all questions are answered by the end. Readers, you anxiously wait for the next series to come out, to know who is the traitor.

[edit] Midnight

Midnight is the first novel in Warriors: The New Prophecy, the second series of novels. It opens twelve moons after The Darkest Hour with StarClan choosing four cats to go on a journey. Later in the series, it is revealed that Twolegs (humans) plan to destroy the forest, presumably for construction purposes. A prophecy that states, Darkness, air, water and sky will come together and shake the forest to its roots. This is the prophecy that this novel and the next two revolve around.

New cats of all Clans, particularly of ThunderClan, are introduced. Bramblepaw, Tigerstar's son, has become Brambleclaw. Firestar has had two kits with Sandstorm, Squirrelpaw and Leafpaw. Squirrelpaw is apprenticed to Dustpelt, and Leafpaw is apprenticed to Cinderpelt in preparation to become the next medicine cat. It is revealed that Brambleclaw is the chosen cat from ThunderClan, Feathertail (Graystripe's daughter) is the cat from RiverClan, Crowpaw is the cat from WindClan, and Tawnypelt (formerly Tawnypaw, Brambleclaw's sister) is the cat from ShadowClan. Squirrelpaw tags along and Stormfur insists on accompanying them to protect his sister, Feathertail.

While Leapaw and Cinderpelt search for herbs, StarClan sends Cinderpelt an ominous warning in some burning bracken, which she interprets to mean that fire and tiger will destroy the forest. Leafpaw concludes that the warning must be mean Squirrelpaw and Brambleclaw, the daughter of Firestar and the son of Tigerstar, respectively. They share the warning with Firestar, who later decides to keep Brambleclaw and Squirrelpaw separated. His plan fails when Brambleclaw and Squirrelpaw meet with Feathertail, Stormfur, Tawnypelt, and Crowpaw at Fourtrees, and the cats begin their journey to the sun-drown-place (their name for the sea, because of the way the sun sinks into the water).

Their guide, an old loner named Purdy, is confused and fights break out between them because of this. Eventually, they reach the sun-drown-place and enter a cavern inhabited by a highly intelligent badger known as Midnight, who reveals to them that the humans will destroy the forest, that the cats must either leave the forest or die, and that a dying warrior will lead them to their new home. The book ends with a short epilogue back in the forest, where the humans begin to destroy the forest.

  • Warriors Made: Sorreltail

[edit] Moonrise

Several moons have passed since six cats set out from the forest on an urgent journey to save all their Clans. The six cats are now traveling home again. From fear of the dangers that they encountered in Midnight, they decide to travel back through the mountains to return to the forest. In the midst of the snowy danger, the six cats, Brambleclaw, Squirrelpaw, Crowpaw, Feathertail, Stormfur, and Tawnypelt, stumble across a group of wild tribal cats, who call themselves the Tribe of Rushing Water.

The friendly Tribe takes the questing cats in to shelter them and feed them. But the Tribe cats have a different prophecy to fulfill. They see Stormfur as their only hope, the silver cat mentioned in the prophecy of the Tribe of Endless Hunting, the Tribe cats' spiritual ancestors. Stormfur is forced to protect the Tribe from Sharptooth, a blood-thirsty mountain lion cat with a taste for the smaller cats' blood. Together, Stormfur and his friends help get rid of Sharptooth by anguishing him and leading him into a trap. However, as they duel the wild cat, it is revealed that Feathertail, Stormfur's sister and the daughter of Graystripe, is the real silver cat. In order to save Crowpaw from being killed, Feathertail loosens a rock spike from the roof of the cave, and plummets to the floor with them, crushing Sharptooth, yet Feathertail herself also dies from the impact.

Feathertail is later buried at the base of the Cave of Rushing Water's waterfall, and the remaining five cats continue traveling home towards their Clans. During their stay, Stormfur fell in love with Brook Where Small Fish Swim, a Tribe prey-hunter, and is forced to say goodbye to her and Feathertail.

Meanwhile, Leafpaw, the ThunderClan medicine cat apprentice, has to deal with the threats at home. The destruction of the forest has begun, and the whole forest is being uprooted by the Twolegs. During the near end of the book, she enters into what seems to be a Twoleg trap for cats, and as Sorreltail warns her, is taken away, Sorreltail's warning coming too late.

The book ends with Tawnypelt noticing Highstones, a marked land on the map, and exclaiming, "Highstones! We're almost home!"

[edit] Dawn

Something terrifying is happening in the world of the Clans. Amid the destruction of the forest, cats are being taken away by Twolegs, including ThunderClan's beloved medicine cat apprentice, Leafpaw. Now the young cats who set off on a quest many moons ago have returned (all but one have returned) with a chilling message: The Clans must move to a new home, or risk extermination.

Graystripe is taken by the Twolegs, but he succeeds in rescuing Leafpaw and the other cats from RiverClan and WindClan, as well as many loners and rogues. While trying to protect kits, Firestar loses a life when a tree crashes and falls on him as they try to evacuate ShadowClan from their camp as Twolegs begin to destroy it.

But it is not easy to convince the cats to leave. What they need is a sign from StarClan . . . but it seems that it will never come. Only a devastating attack on the ShadowClan camp will convince the other Clans to leave. The dying warrior from Midnight's prophecy is reveal to be a star which runs though the night sky and drops behind the mountains. They all travel though the mountains, guided by Brambleclaw, Squirrelpaw, Crowfeather (formerly known as Crowpaw), Tawnypelt, and Stormfur.

Stormfur chooses to stay with the Tribe of Rushing Water with Brook Where Small Fish Swim and Feathertail's spirit. At the end of the book, the Clans settle in a forest around a lake.

  • Births: None
  • Deaths: Hollykit, Shrewpaw, other elders from other Clans, Firestar (second life) Frostfur,(missing) Speckletail(missing)
  • Apprentices Made:
  • Warriors Made: Crowfeather (he chose his own name, in honor of Feathertail)

[edit] Starlight

The Clans have finally found their new home, following the prophecies of their warrior ancestors. The journey was difficult enough, and all the cats are weak, but now they must struggle to establish territories and learn the hidden dangers of this unfamiliar place. But the cats have become accustomed to living with all four Clans, and have made strong bonds. It will be hard to fight against them. Most importantly, Leafpaw knows they must find a new Gathering place, and a replacement for the Moonstone--a place to communicate with StarClan. Otherwise there will be no way to choose new leaders, no way to share medicine cat secrets, and no way to know whether the Clans are on the right path.

The future seems uncertain, and more than one cat is harboring sinister plans that could lead to violence and darkness. As all the warriors wait for a sign, some of them begin to realize that the threats they face from the forest may not be as perilous as the threats they face from within.

Tallstar, the frail WindClan leader, loses his last life at the lakeside and goes to join StarClan. As he is dying, Tallstar makes Onewhisker WindClan's deputy, saying that Mudclaw, the former deputy, is not the right cat to lead WindClan. Tallstar doesn't , however, use the ritual words for a deputy ceremony, and passes on after naming his successor. Firestar and Brambleclaw witness Tallstar's death, and go to announce it with Onewhisker to the Clans.

Mudclaw is furious at Onewhisker's sudden leadership, and he eventually leads an attack against his new leader. But WindClan is not the only Clan turning against Onewhisker. Hawkfrost from RiverClan, Tigerstar's other son, was secretly gathering cats for Mudclaw's rebellion.

[edit] Twilight

New territory brings new troubles of the fierce cats of the warrior Clans, who are still uncovering the secrets of their new home around the lake. Dangers they have never faced before lurk in the twilight shadows, and former allies are acting strangely hostile. As divisions between the Clans grow deeper, Leafpool and Squirrelflight face troubling decisions.

One is torn between loyalty to her calling and a forbidden love, while the other struggles with her best friend's betrayal, her growing mistrust of him, and the surprising perils of the forest. And for two brothers, one cat is trying to twist their minds to follow him. Meanwhile, an unexpected enemy is preparing to attack... And for one beloved cat, the end is coming all too soon...

The doomed cat is later revealed to be Cinderpelt, who dies defending her friend Sorreltail from a badger attack while she is kitting.

In the book, Leafpool and Crowfeather secretly meet each other. Cinderpelt finally confronts Leafpool when she is with Crowfeather. The two medicine cats fight, and Leafpool runs away with Crowfeather. After a long night alone in the hills, she and Crowfeather return to help ThunderClan at the end of the book, after hearing of the badger attack from Midnight.

Near the end of the novel, it appears that Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw have become friends again, or at least settled a mutual bond between them.

  • Births: Cinderkit, Poppykit, Honeykit, Molekit (all ThunderClan)

[edit] Sunset

Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight's fight is over. Their love for each other has become stronger than before, but Brambleclaw must choose once and for all if he will follow in his father's pawsteps or reject the power that Tigerstar promises and concentrate on being a loyal warrior.

Tigerstar continues to visit Hawkfrost and Brambleclaw in their dreams and their sister Tawnypelt appears in one of the dreams also, firmly rejecting Tigerstar's offer of power.

As for Stormfur and Brook, something has happened in the Tribe that makes them unwilling to return (even at the end of the book, it is not known what that might be), and aid the warriors in their duties. After moons of waiting, Firestar admits to himself that Graystripe isn’t going to return (in an interview with Erin Hunter, she said that Graystripe would be coming back, and it is proven that this happens in The Sight, since Erin Hunter said that Firestar would have to make the decision if Graystripe or Brambleclaw was to be deputy in The Sight, and because of the review of The Sight). When the Clan begins to challenge the weary leader, he appoints a new deputy, Brambleclaw. The matter is soon cleared when Firestar declares that his new deputy will mentor Berrykit when he comes of age.

As for Cinderpelt, all of the Clans are grieving for her. Leafpool finds herself struggling between grief and betrayal, for she has not seen Cinderpelt in the ranks of StarClan. During a visit to the Moonpool, Spottedleaf comes to Leafpool in a dream and shows her that Cinderpelt has been reborn in the form of Cinderkit, a fluffy gray she-cat (similar to Cinderpelt's) , one of Sorreltail's four kits. The other kits are Molekit, a brown tabby tom, Honeykit, a pale golden she-cat, and Poppykit, a tortoiseshell and white she-cat.

Fox traps have also been discovered in the forest, and cats are warned to avoid and also spring them (by putting sticks into the traps) if they see any.

The prophecy (Before there is peace, blood will spill blood and the lake will run red.) is revealed and fulfilled.

[edit] Warriors: The Power of Three

All that is known about this series is that it will be told by the kits of Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight, and the forest is in great danger, and its life is hanging on the hairs of these three kits.

[edit] The Sight

The wild cats have flourished in their new home on the banks of the lake for several seasons, and the Clans are growing strong and healthy with new kits. The time has come for three kits of ThunderClan to become apprentices. Hollypaw, Jaypaw, and Lionpaw spring from a strong legacy: children of Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw, two of the noblest ThunderClan warriors, and grandchildren of the great leader Firestar himself. All three young cats possess unusual power and talent and seem certain to provide strength to the Clan for the next generation. But there are dark secrets around the three, and a mysterious prophecy hints at trouble to come. An undercurrent of rage is rising against those who are not Clanborn, and the warrior code is in danger of being washed away by a river of blood. All the young cats' strength will be needed if the Clans are to survive.

This series, the third in the Warriors series, initially follows the prophecy: There will be three, kin of your kin, who hold the power of the stars in their paws. Firestar receives the prophecy in a cave from an unknown cat. Another variation of the prophecy states that the three will have "more power for good or evil than any cat that has walked the forest before." This is thought to possibly be because they kits are the grandchildren of Firestar and Tigerstar.[3] A review for The Sight can be seen here: http://www.bookstorebuddies.citymaker.com/warriorsreport.html

Leafpool's vision of three stars in Sunset may be a also reference to the oncoming kits. Leafpool sees the three stars thrice throughout the novel, and when she first sees them, Bluestar tells her that there are "cats she has yet to meet. Yet their paws will shape her future." When Leafpool sees the stars for her third time and asks Spottedleaf about them, Spottedleaf tells her, "The stars are a sign, dear one. But this is not the time for you to discover their meaning."

The Power of Three begins only six moons after the events in Sunset, as confirmed in an AuthorTracker e-mail. There will be six books in The Power of Three.

The controversy of the book The Sight is a small one, but other publishers thought that they were relating to it to another book called The Sight by David Clement-Davies, which is about a group of wolves.

In an online discussion with Erin Hunter, it was said that Longtail plays a major role in Book One, and that there will be a she-cat main character, possibly referring to Hollypaw.[2] The Sight will be released on April 24, 2007.[4]

[edit] The Curse

The Curse is the second book in the Power of Three series. The book's true title is verified in the back of advanced copies of The Sight, making Dark River its working title. In a section of her website, Kate Cary called the book Dark River, which led to the belief that Dark River was the publishing title.

Question: What are you working on right now?

Answer: Doing rewrites on Dark River, the second book of the Power of Three.[5]

[edit] Firestar's Quest

With the death of Tigerstar and Scourge, peace seems to have returned, and Firestar can get on with being a good leader to his Clan. But he is troubled by visits from a warrior ancestor he has never seen before. Who is this cat? What does he want with Firestar? And if what he says is true, then StarClan have lied to Firestar, and the warrior code is worth nothing...The kittypet turned leader, the fire who saved his Clan, must leave the forest and go on a long, dangerous journey to find out the truth - and restore his faith in StarClan.

Firestar's Quest is the announced stand-alone novel that is currently being written by Cherith Baldry.[2] It will take place between The Darkest Hour and Midnight, and tells what happens after the battle with BloodClan. Firestar meets a warrior ancestor he has never seen before and if what he says is true, then StarClan have lied, and the warrior code is worth nothing more to Firestar... Firestar journeys to restore his faith in StarClan in this novel.

A suggestion that something had happened between the time that Firestar defeated BloodClan and the time that The New Prophecy starts is mentioned in Sunset. As he is talking about Graystripe to Brambleclaw, who insists that a new deputy must be appointed, Firestar says, "Remember when I had to go away for a while when you were a new warrior?" After another while of talking, Brambleclaw says, "But if you had died on your quest..." This has been presumed to be alluding to Firestar's Quest.

The authors have also said that the novel will be twice the length of a regular Warriors book.

According to Amazon.com, Firestar's Quest will be released August 21, 2007.

[edit] Warriors: Secrets of the Clans

This book has been confirmed by both an AuthorTracker e-mail and a recent chat with Kate Cary, Cherith Baldry, and Vicky Holmes. Aside from medicinal herbs, ceremonies, and events, the book will also feature large fold-out maps and black and white drawing of cats, based on their descriptions from the books.[2]

Excerpt of the AuthorTracker e-mail from Harper Collins confirming the book:

I'm putting together a guide to all things Clan and feline that have featured in the books so far. Look out for Warriors: Secrets of the Clans, which comes out next year. It is been great fun to go back and revisit my favorite scenes and characters, and investigate some more unusual viewpoints. Ever wonder what StarClan thought about Bluestar's decision to give up her kits? Or how Fernpaw and Ashpaw really felt about leading the vicious pack of dogs away from their Clanmates? All will be revealed, I promise! -Erin Hunter

Excerpt from the chat in which Vicky answered:

It's going to be a kind of field guide to the entire world of the Clans, with information about all the things that have featured in the books so far, like medicinal herbs and ceremonies. But in addition it will have some pieces of history that haven't been mentioned, like how the Clans first came to be in the forest, and how StarClan feel about major events like Bluestar giving up her kits so she could be ThunderClan's deputy. I'm afraid there won't be any family trees because, er, we didn't pay enough attention to this sort of thing in the first books so we can't make sense of all the connections...

Vicky also revealed the illustrations:

Yes, it will, based on the descriptions from the books. They'll be in black and white, I think. And it will have a couple of tremendous fold-out maps - I've been working on sketch versions all week as a guide for the illustrator and it has caused a lot of laughs among my friends because I'm hopeless at art! I drew some sheep and horses in a couple of fields and then had to label them because they both looked like lumpy dogs.

An excerpt from an AuthorTracker e-mail revealed more details of the book's illustrations:

I've been doing a very exciting task this week: looking at the illustrations for The Secrets of the Clans, the insider's guide to all things Warriors which comes out later this year. As well as maps, we now have artwork for each cat and illustrations of key scenes like the flooding of RiverClan. It feels like such a treat to have a professional artist bring characters and landscapes to life.

[edit] Warriors Manga

Editor Vicky Holmes has announced that a three volume manga series is coming as well, and that it will explain what happened to Graystripe between the time that he is taken by Twolegs in Dawn up until when he returns to ThunderClan. The title of the first volume is The Lost Warrior.[2]

In the chat that revealed this, Vicky stated: ...There are going to be three manga novels coming out featuring Graystripe's adventures from the moment he is taken from the forest to...the moment he returns to ThunderClan! Yay! I've seen the script and some sample illustrations for the first book and it looks terrific. I had a lot of fun coming up with the storylines because Graystripe has always been a fascinating character for me. In the first books he was in danger of becoming Firepaw's stooge, the butt of jokes and maybe not the brightest cat, but he showed a much more complex side to his character when he fell in love with Silverstream and then took his motherless kits to join RiverClan...

[edit] The Lost Warrior

When the Twolegs destroy the warrior Clans' forest home, Graystripe--deputy of ThunderClan--is captured while trying to help his comrades escape! However, Graystripe soon discovers that the captive life as a pampered kittypet isn't all that bad. The cozy Twoleg nest and his new, affectionate family help Graystripe put his Clan days behind him. Still, nothing compares to the life of a warrior! With a new kittypet ally, Millie, by his side, will Graystripe ever find his way back to the Clan?

The manga will be published by the distributor Tokyopop,[6] and also said by Tokyopop, it will be released May 8, 2007.[7]

Also, a recent article mentions a special note will be added into The Lost Warrior. The article states that:

According to TOKYOPOP, Warriors: The Lost Warrior will feature "a very special note" from the author to Warriors fans. Warriors: The Lost Warrior manga series, created by Dan Jolley and James Barry, tells the untold tale of the feline hero Graystripe: his life with humans and his ultimate quest to be reunited with his clan. Graystripe's story in the manga series bridges the gap between Hunter's "The New Prophecy" (the second series) and the next installment of the Warriors novel series Power of Three, the beginning of the third series.

[edit] Warriors Movie

There are currently no planned Warriors movies or plans to make any, despite common rumors that have spread across the Warriors community.

As her answer to the main question of a movie possibility, Vicky Holmes replied:

Okay, this is a really important issue to clear up. I'm sorry to say that there are NO plans for a Warriors movie, even though we have had lots and lots of discussions with major film companies about this. This isn't to say that there will NEVER be a Warriors movie, but please don't get your hopes up! The reason for this is that the animated movies around at the moment tend to be larger-than-life, laugh-out-loud family films that adults can laugh at as well as kids - think Shrek or Cars. A Warriors movie would be much more serious, dealing with big issues like death and loyalty, which doesn't translate well to conventional animation just now. It might fit with a manga-style approach, but there isn't a mainstream market for this in the film world just yet. So we'll have to keep our fingers crossed![2]

It has also been said that there will be a special note from Erin Hunter in The Lost Warrior, and some fans are hoping that it will be regarding the making of a Warriors movie.

Spoilers end here.
