Warren G. Lichtenstein is the head of Steel Partners, a highly successful activist hedge fund based in New York City. His firm, under his leadership has invested in over 100 companies, primarily in the United States and Japan (new offices are planned in other parts of the world). He is well known for being a demanding investor and exercising shareholder rights when necessary. He has a son and lives in Aspen, Colorado.

Mr. Lichtenstein is active in many of his investments in attempts to increase transparency and corporate governance levels of publicly listed firms.

He attended Tulane University and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania.
