Warren Cole Smith

Warren Cole Smith (b. 1958) is a writer and editor.

He is currently the host of the syndicated radio program “Worldviews with Warren Smith,” and his television program with the same name debuted on The Inspiration Networks on June 1, 2006.

His professional accomplishments include the publication of over 1000 articles on a variety of business, social, and literary topics. His essays, reviews, interviews, and articles have also been included in various books, including “Public Relations,” one of the most widely used college journalism textbooks in the world. He served as editor of "Tales from the High Country," published in 2003. This book is a collection of essays about Philmont Scout Ranch. A book of Smith's interviews with evangelical Christian leaders, "Voices That Carry," was published in 2005. His book "A Lover's Quarrel With The Evangelical Church" is scheduled to appear in 2007.

Before turning his attention to Christian publishing, Smith wrote and published outdoor and adventure stories for such magazines as Alaska magazine, High Country magazine, High Adventure magazine, and Sports Afield.

As a publisher, Smith’s papers have reported on some of the most important stories of our time. His papers have won many awards from the Evangelical Press Association and the Fellowship of Christian Newspapers. In both 2005 and 2006, The Charlotte World, which he also edits, was named “Christian Newspaper of the Year.”

His education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism (A.B.J.) in 1980 and a master’s degree in English in 1985, both from the University of Georgia. He and his wife Missy have four children, and they live in Charlotte, North Carolina.
