Warngau is a municipality of population 3,489 in Germany, in the Bavarian district of Miesbach. It is located at 47°50′N 11°44′E. During the Nazi period, the Germans falsely proclaimed this to be the birthplace of Heinrich Himmler -- in order to obtain more support from rural voters. (Heinrich Himmler was actually born near Munich, Germany, on 7th October, 1900)
