Warabrook is a north-western suburb of the City of Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. It has a station (opened in 1997 to serve the nearby University of Newcastle in Callaghan and Warabrook) on CityRail's Hunter line. The railway line is part of the Newcastle-Maitland line, the first section of the Main North line from Sydney to the New England region, opened in 1857. Warabrook residents come from all over the world including countries such as the New Zealand, China, the United States, Venezuela, Congo and Zimbabwe. Its most noted residents are Kiri Jane and Taya who are known to party all the time reppin the brook and are often seen promoting the suburb by loudly proclaiming: "this is where the party's at".

Warabrook's iconic bus route is the 108 which makes an entrance into the area via the Warabrook Boulevarde. 108 4 LYFE !!!!!

Various school buses also service the area such as the 753, the 755 and the 700. These mainly run through east and west warabrook.

Warabrook is divided by the Warabrook boulevarde, which is a long strip that runs down the central area of warabrook. This street is a common hub for "trafficing" and other anti-social behaviour which creates the reputation Warabrook has as a second home for Mayfield's increasing anti-social ways.

East Warabrook lies to the east of the boulevarde and is relatively close to the West of Mayfield. East Warabrook isn't as high class as the West side, which hosts the Warabrook shopping centre as well as the more modern upper class homes. West Warabrook plays home to the well known Newcastle figure "Robbo" who campaigns for Charlestown Toyota at times on local television station NBN.

The famous Warabrook shopping centre was formerly a dodgy jewells shop which had nothing going for it, but it now includes shops such as Woolworths, a newsagent ran by some guy and his kids, a hairdresser which is popular with the women of warabrook, a petrol station run by some rednut derro, a drug store with close ties to the warabrook boulevarde's clientele, and some other convenient outlets. Warabrook shopping centre is a highly popular hangout on a thursday night to teenagers and oldies alike, competing with Charlestown Square and Westfield Kotara. The thompson bakery and the bench next to the newsagent are popular with oldies as they can watch the day go by in comfort.

South Warabrook plays home to the fish lakes and the train station Warabrook is proud to possess. [1]
