Wang Kuang

Wang Kuang (王匡) was an officer of the Three Kingdoms period in China. He first served under the Great General He Jin, but when He Jin was killed by the Ten Attendants, Wang Kuang left his duties and went back to live as a commoner. He rose up in ranks in the following years and soon became the prefect of Henei. During the campaign against Dong Zhuo, Wang Kuang led a large army to attack Dong Zhuo from the north but was defeated at the Battle of Heyang Ford. When Dong Zhuo sent Humu Ban and other scholars to negotiate a truce, Wang Kuang executed them all. Years later, the remaining relatives of Humu Ban killed Wang Kuang in revenge.

In the novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms, he directed his officer Fang Yue to face against Lü Bu, but Fang was killed before he had even fought more than five rounds.
