Walter Yonge of Colyton

Walter Yonge of Colyton and Devon (1579-1649) was the descendant of Sir George Yonge, great-great-grandfather of Sir William Yonge, great-grandfather of Walter Yonge. He was son of John Yonge of Colliton and Devon.
Yonge married Jane Periam of Exeter and had one son, Sir John Yonge of Colliton, the first Baronet of Colliton. Daughter Jane Yonge (died 1652) was married to Sir John Drake, 1st Bart of Ashe (b 1619 -d. July 7, 1669) in 1646.
Yonge was an author and his well-known diaries have been published in Britain. His father was a well known merchant is Elizabethan England. He was also an Member of Parliament for Honiton.
