Walter Russell Hall

Walter Russell Hall (1831-1911) was an Australian businessman.
Founder partner of the Mount Morgan Gold Mining Company, Mount Morgan, Queensland.
From 1881 Hall was a major investor and administrator of the Australian stagecoach line Cobb and Co.[1]
Hall's widow, Eliza Rowden Kirk, founded the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research using funds earned from Hall's business interests.[2]
