Walter Olson

Walter K. Olson is the author of three books on the American litigation system: The Litigation Explosion, The Excuse Factory, and most recently The Rule of Lawyers. Olson is a longtime senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute, a conservative think tank in New York City. He founded and continues to run several websites, including Overlawyered.com and the Manhattan Institute's PointOfLaw.com. His work is often discussed in the press and has been cited in court opinions[1][2]; the Washington Post has dubbed him an "intellectual guru of tort reform." Olson is a graduate of Yale University.
