Walter Aston, 8th Lord Aston of Forfar, was born October 10, 1732, a son of Edward Aston.

In 1763, he succeeded his childless cousin Walter Aston, 7th Lord Aston of Forfar, as Lord Aston of Forfar in the peerage of Scotland.

His lordship married in 1766 to Anne Hutchinson and died July 29, 1805. He was succeeded by their only surviving son, Walter Aston, 9th Lord Aston of Forfar.
