Walter Augustus Abercrombie (born September 26, 1959) was a running back and kick returner for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the NFL from 1982 to 1987 and then for the Philadelphia Eagles in 1988. He was drafted out of Baylor. His best year was 1986, when he had 214 carries for 877 yards and 47 receptions for 395 yards. His eight total touchdowns that year were one less than his personal best total of nine from the year before.
