Walt Jocketty

Walt Jocketty is the General Manager for the St. Louis Cardinals. Born in Minneapolis, MN, attending the University of Minnesota, he has been with the Cardinals since 1995, in which time the Cardinals have compiled six NL Central Division championships (1996, 2000, 2002, 2004-06), one NL Wild Card appearance (2001), two National League Championships (2004 and 2006), one World Series Championship (2006), and seven playoff appearances in total. The Cardinals have had 7 straight winning seasons under Jocketty, including 100+ win seasons in 2004 and 2005. Jocketty won his first championship as a general manager when the Cardinals defeated the Tigers in the 2006 World Series, four games to one. Jocketty has been named the Executive of the Year in MLB twice, in both 2000 and 2004.
