Walnut Street (Philadelphia)

Walnut Street is located in downtown Philadelphia and extends from the city's waterfront through Center City and West Philadelphia. It is most known for it's upscale shopping district in the high end neighborhood of Rittenhouse Row. The majority of shops, restaurants and art galleries located on Walnut Street are situated between Broad Street and 18th Street, which is anchored by Rittenhouse Square Park. Walnut Street features a variety of world class shopping and dining destinations. International designers ranging from Burberry and Ralph Lauren to national chains like Gap and American Apparel can be found on Walnut Street. There is also a number of upscale jewelers and ubiquitous merchandise retailers situated along the tree lined streets. Small boutiques, such as Joan Shepp and Jaques Ferber, are also located here. Running adjacent to Walnut Street is Chestnut Street, which features additional shopping options with retailers like Express, J. Crew and Victoria's Secret, and department stores such as Daffy's and Loehmanns.
