Wally Bear and the NO! Gang is an educational NES game that teaches children to say no to drugs like tobacco, alcohol, and illegal drugs like marijuana. All the characters in the game are anthropomorphic animals. Despite the anti-drug message, certain scenes in the game looked psychedelic (the protagonist's house for example). Like in most platform games of the 1980s, even getting hit once meant losing a "chance" to beat the game.
[edit] Trivia
· Strangely enough the hotline number in the game's instruction manual that gives advice to children still works today despite the game being 15 years old.
·The Angry Video Game Nerd has reviewed this game, also commenting on the psychadelic style, suggesting the creators of the game themselves were on drugs.
