Panther Pride
These two words embody what we stand for here at Wallkill Senior High School: unity, teamwork, strong work ethic, compassion, excellence, determination, integrity, and family.
At WSHS, we strive for excellence in education. The Wallkill family is committed to providing all students with a rigorous, diverse and challenging academic program. This includes a wide range of advanced placement courses, accelerated courses, honors courses, college affiliated courses, and special programs.
We are proud of our association with Marist College (Project Greystone), SUNY New Paltz, and SUNY Albany. The various college courses offered at WSHS provide our students with a demanding and distinct curriculum that culminates in them earning college credits. Additionally, we are excited about our engineering program, Project Lead the Way. This program is available to students beginning freshman year and continues through their senior year.
WSHS is very proud of the extra-curricular program that we offer our students. The qualities that our students exhibit in the classrooms and hallways, strong work ethic and positive citizenry, extend to the rich extra-curricular activities that are offered. We encourage our students to participate in different extra-curricular activities to broaden their high school experience, as well as, a means to express themselves. Our students have over forty clubs and organizations to choose from which include athletic teams, National Honor Society, performing arts, musical activities, academic societies for different disciplines, and social clubs.
Wallkill Senior High School is unique because of its relationship with its community. The school is a reflection of the community that it represents; united, ethical, passionate, expects excellence, and family-orientated. In other words, “Panther Pride.”
