The Civic Center's two separate ice rinks are home to the Fitchburg State Falcons division III college hockey team and a new junior hockey team. Many surrounding high school hockey teams also call the Civic Center home; including St. Bernard's High School, North Middlesex Regional High School, Leominster High School, Fitchburg High School, and Lunenburg High School.

The civic center is also the main arena for the Twin City youth hockey association, even though the arena is falling apart it is still an ice hockey rink. It needs major renevations and also needs a new manager, but ti still works.
