Wall clock time
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In the context of task duration, Wall clock time is a measure of how much elapsed time a task takes. Effort might not be expended during all of this time as it may include periods of waiting. It is the time that an outside operator will experience between the beginning and the end of the task.
In the context of time zone calculations, Wall clock time identifies the local time with any applicable adjustments for daylight saving time. It provides a way to refer to a time without specifying standard time or daylight saving time.
